At the University of Oxford. Undertakes computational and experimental sustainable energy research with particular focus on smart energy systems. The group was founded in 1993 by Associate Professor Malcolm McCulloch. And now additionally includes Associate Professor David Howey.

We are a group of local residents with a passion for environmental issues and making our community a more sustainable place to live in. The group was started off in 2005 under the name of Wheatley Community Action Group and has since renamed itself Sustainable Wheatley. It is one of a network of about 60 Community Action Groups.

Hogacre Common is a fourteen acre site less than a mile from the centre of Oxford and within its fertile flood plains. Bounded by streams on three sides and only accessible by foot, it features field, woodland and aquatic habitats and hosts low carbon community activities and events. Activities, events and projects are made possible by members of the local community. There are lots of ways that you can get involved too. Just let us know what you would like to do.

Osney Lock Hydro is the first community owned hydro scheme to be built on the Thames. The hydro is now fully operational, generating clean green electricity.
